Somber days give the heart a cold foot,
And puffy eyes arrest the struggling spirit in gloom.
Sudden revelations of truth,
Paralyze the thought process for long.
Acceptance comes with time,
But the abrupt shock numbs the soul.
The dreams once seen lose their luster,
And pain surpass the productivity of eons.
Good human beings lack the handiness of cleverness,
And get guzzled by stern moves of fiends.
Goodness maybe an acclaimed asset,
But crookedness is the need of hour.
Losing the trust,
Thrust the heart in a frenzy of coldness.
Pain, that a shock gifts an individual,
Does not leak out in a single shot;
It oozes for weeks, months and years.
